Back in 2020, I was thrilled to be selected as a winner of #SBS Small Business Sunday, an initiative by Theo Paphitis, one of the Dragons from Dragon’s Den. It was a huge moment for me as a small business owner. But due to the Covid-19 pandemic and my long recovery from long Covid, I couldn’t attend the event at the time.

Fast forward to this year—I finally got to go! I met Theo in person and received my award, surrounded by so many inspiring creatives and small business owners. The energy in the room was amazing and reminded me just how powerful and supportive the small business community truly is.

Block Printing Workshops Return!

This February, I resumed my block printing workshops in Londonafter a long break due to illness. It’s been such a joy to reopen my studio doors and welcome people back. I’ve always loved traditional block printing, but teaching it and sharing it with others makes it even more special.

I’ve been deeply touched by how far people have travelled to join—visitors have come from Kent, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Southend, and Hertfordshirejust to take part in my creative workshops. It’s been such a wonderful reminder of how art connects us.

One really exciting moment this year was seeing my workshop posters on the London Underground! That definitely made me stop and smile.

First Time Trading with Craft & Flea

Another first this year—I had the chance to trade with Craft & Flea, a curated makers market. It was a brilliant experience, and I loved meeting customers face-to-face and sharing my work in a new environment.

Dream Project: Block Printed Greeting Cards

March brought a very special launch—my first ever handmade greeting card collection! I’ve dreamed of making these for so long, and I’m so proud to see them come to life. They feature my own hand-carved block prints and have been created with love and care, just like my textiles.

I was thrilled to sell several cards during Eid, and I’m excited to keep building this collection. You can now shop my greeting cards on my website or find them at my upcoming events and markets.

Monthly Workshops Now Running

I now run regular monthly block printing workshops at my East London studio in Leyton. Whether you're a beginner or someone looking to refresh your creativity, you're always welcome.
