Reprint & Relove: Upcycle Your T-Shirt with Block Printing
Book Now

Have a favourite T-shirt you hardly wear anymore? A cotton blouse that needs a little something? Or a well-loved top you'd like to make feel special again?

Bring it along and give it a new life with block printing.

Reprint & Relove

In this relaxed, hands-on two-hour workshop, you'll discover the beautiful art of traditional block printing while transforming a piece of clothing you already own.

Using a selection of traditional hand-carved wooden printing blocks and colourful fabric inks, I'll guide you through the process of creating a design that works beautifully on your garment.

We'll explore different blocks, colours and layouts before you commit to your final design. You'll have time to practise your prints first, experiment with placement and learn how to build and repeat a pattern with confidence.

Then it's time to print your garment and watch something familiar become completely individual to you.

Bring something you already love

This workshop is about looking at the clothes we already own a little differently.

Instead of leaving an old favourite unworn at the back of the wardrobe, you can refresh it with colour and pattern, add your own personality and hopefully enjoy wearing it all over again.

You don't need any previous block printing experience. Complete beginners are very welcome.

What to bring

Please bring one clean, freshly washed, light-coloured cotton T-shirt, blouse or top that you'd like to transform.

For the best printing results, choose a smooth, light-coloured fabric.

White, cream, light grey, light pink and light yellow are ideal, as the printed colours will show up beautifully.

Please avoid dark colours, very stretchy or heavily textured fabrics, waterproof materials and delicate garments.

T-shirts and garments are not supplied at the workshop, so please remember to bring your chosen piece with you.

What's included

All traditional wooden printing blocks, fabric inks, practice materials and printing equipment are provided.

You'll have guidance throughout the workshop, from planning your design and choosing colours to practising your technique and printing your finished garment.

You simply need to bring your chosen top and come ready to experiment.

You'll leave with your very own reprinted and reloved piece, new block printing skills and hopefully a favourite you'll be excited to wear all over again.
