'Mela' means 'fair' or 'festival' in Urdu, and these cushions truly capture that joyful, celebratory spirit with their explosion of colour and pattern, crafted from beautiful leftover fabrics in a stunning patchwork design.
Each cushion is colour coordinated on both the front and back panels so they look beautiful from every angle. The front and back are designed to complement each other, making them as pretty on the reverse as they are on the front. Some cushions are finished with kaanta stitch, a traditional hand stitch that adds an extra layer of artisan detail and texture.
Each square cushion features William Morris fabric on the lining, adding an extra layer of beauty and quality. The rectangular cushion has a back panel from the Graham Stuart fabric collection. All covers are fully removable with a zip opening, and both front and back panels are lined. Every cushion is completely unique with its own character and colour combination.
