Some jackets are just jackets. This one is different.
The Gul Boota kimono jacket in black linen is a relaxed longline open-front jacket with wide sleeves, individually hand block printed using a rescued vintage block from Pakistan, and finished with hand embroidered details in olive and pink. The deep black linen makes the print sing.
Made to be worn everywhere. To work, to dinner, to a wedding, to the market on a Sunday. It is the kind of jacket that gets noticed and remembered.
Each jacket is made individually by hand in our Leyton, London studio. Available in sizes S, M, L and XL. Just get in touch to discuss your size or a custom order.
Gul Boota means flower and leaf in Urdu, a motif that has been used in South Asian textile traditions for centuries. The block used to print this jacket is a rescued vintage block, brought back from my recent trips to Pakistan. Each one has its own history, and that history is now part of yours.
